For most people, the possibility of having fresh starts gives them extra motivation. This is especially true around a temporal landmark that feels like a significant time to make major changes.

The most obvious temporal landmark is the new year but there are many:

  • New year
  • New season
  • New quarter
  • New month
  • Birthday
  • New week
